Karachi: Today denotes the 54th birthday celebration of Pakistan's singing legend, Sajjad Ali.
Conceived on 24 August 1966, Sajjad Ali is an unbelievable vocalist, writer, movie entertainer, chief and maker.
Sajjad quickly considered old style Paino at the University of Karachi, graduating with a BA. During his preparation period he played music from old style craftsmen, for example, Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Ustaad Barkat Ali Khan and Ustad Mubarak Ali Khan.
His first traditional hit collection, 'Ace Sajjad Sings Memorable Classics' was delivered in 1979 by EMI-Pakistan. The performers were Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, Mehdi Hassan, Ghulam Ali and Amanat Ali Khan, while the vast majority of the tunes were composed by Hasrat Mohani, Momin and others.
He made his TV debut in a program, 'Aap Janab' by Athar Shah Khan. After this, he rleased many hit collections including Babia 93, Chief Sab and Sohni Lag Di and Chahar Balish.
A portion of his popular singles Naakhun, Chal Rein De, Jhoolay Laal, Cindrella and Laari Ada.
